And another thing

PARALLELS FROM HISTORY

On the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz concentration camp, it is dispiriting in the extreme for staff at No10 to employ the strategies of Nazi Germany.
Upon arrival at Auschwitz, prisoners (sic) were divided into two groups – those chosen to be slave labour and those chosen to be executed.
In the case of No10 and lobby journalists attending a government briefing, the self-same strategy was on display; the journalists were divided into two groups – those chosen to be allowed to work and those chosen to be dispatched onto the pavement.
Such behaviour smacks of totalitarianism and a blatant attempt to curtail press/media freedom and is an affront to the democratic process.
Still as long as Alexander Johnson can spend his time talking to groups of children and generally talking, as Johnson put it, a load of “mumbo jumbo”, well mustn’t grumble.
